Fina Technlogies names Spotfire Founder Christopher Ahlberg to Board of Directors

  Cambridge, MA. March 31, 2009 — Fina Technologies, Inc. today announced that it named Dr. Christopher Ahlberg, a pioneering entrepreneur and scientist, and founder of Spotfire, Inc., to its Board of Directors.

  Dr. Ahlberg most previously was Executive Vice President, Tibco, Inc., and President of Tibco's Spotfire division, dating back to 2007. Prior to TIBCO, Dr. Ahlberg was the founder and CEO of Spotfire, Inc., a provider of enterprise analytics software for next generation business intelligence and scientific applications. Dr. Ahlberg was named among the World's Top Young Innovators by Technology Review, MIT's Magazine of Innovation, in 2002. Dr. Ahlberg earned his doctorate from Chalmers University of Technology, has worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Maryland, and has lectured and consulted extensively for industry, academia, and the military - as well as having published and lectured in computer science, psychology, linguistics, biology, and chemistry.
